TOWNE PARK SOCIAL COMMITTEE

Fall can have many meanings to different people, including a time to recognize the joys and successes of your year and to appreciate moving on from what no longer serves you and move on to things that can make your life better. Fall can represent a change in direction like less daylight and more darkness. In Fall we can shed unnecessary burdens and find new beginnings and maybe simplify your life. Fall can be a time to be grateful for the abundance in your life and with your family. All the above can be said as we live in this beautiful Community of Towne Park.
Our month of November will not bring an event for us to enjoy but looking forward to December with our annual Holiday potluck with all the goodies of the festive year, holiday entertainment, and white elephant exchange.
We will also once again light up the night with twinkle lights and colorful decorations. Here are a few rules to get you started and we will post all the rules early in the month of December:
1. Decorations must be up by December 9th.
2. Best use of home/yard space
3. Judging will begin on December 10th.
4. Cash awards will be distributed around
December 20th.
5. Photos of winning homes will be published by Jim Smith around December 20th on our
Facebook page

NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH

INFORMATION FROM THE FOOHILLS AREA COMMAND
It is with great sadness that Commander Shawn Garret is stepping down from his post in our Foothills Area Command to begin his retirement. We thank him for his service and for showing support in our community by always being present at our National Night Out events .
A reminder that if any resident would like to meet up with a policeman for coffee/pizza to express concerns or give suggestions on issues concerning our safety, do call the substation to inquire about meeting places during the month of October. 12800 Lomas Blvd NE or call 1-505- 332-5240.
ON THE HOMEFRONT
An individual continues to check car door handles in the hopes of taking personal items. Recently, 2 cars were stolen from Towne Park …and luckily they were found/recuperated.
A reminder to residents that we have 2 different companies “policing” our Towne Park Community every night:.1) Signal 88 Security drives through all our streets 3 times every night between 7pm and 5am. If a resident notices something worthy of reporting, do so at the 1-505-570-5105. Reports are sent to Jim daily. 2) Another company hired by HOAMCO comes in nightly to check on illegal parking of cars.

SPRUCING UP YOUR HOME?

Hello Neighbors! We will be beginning another round of xeriscaping soon, if you are interested please let Jim know.
Time to finalize projects for winter. If you have an unfinished project Please get it done this month. It will soon be too cold to paint, so plan accordingly. Winter is also a great time to plan ahead to remove dead and unwanted trees and branches in your yard. Schedule now to beat the rush. Just came home from the Zuni Mountains where there was 4 inches of beautiful snow so get ready for winter and enjoy what's left of the fall!!
